A flower girl’s main responsibility is to appear nicely dressed at the wedding and also carry a nicely made basket containing rose petals. The rose petals are usually scattered along the path up the isle of the church or other building where the bride will be walking to meet the groom. The little girl is also trained to walk with a certain rhythm and to scatter the petals with a special flair.
The guests really liked the sparkling entwined flower girl basket they saw the flower girl carrying at the last wedding I attended. The basket was adorned with an embroidered applique of swirled vines. The charming flower girl basket was embellished with Swarovski crystals and glass pearls which usually add a touch of romance to the wedding day. Cheers to the special couple!
