Children have historically played a very important role in weddings. It is popularly believed that children add an air of innocence to the wedding scene. The little boy who carries the ring pillow is the picture of innocence. The little flower girl is usually delicately dressed in bows and ribbons and is prepped to look pleasant while dutifully scattering the fragrant rose petals contained in her fancy flower girl basket.
It is quite obvious that the sight of children softens the heart of people. If that scene were a fund raiser the level of contribution would immediately spike. Children are like magic, they cause instant change.
So then, are children really important in a wedding ceremony? You bet they are. It is not surprising that the couple usually tries to secure some kind of children’s personalized gifts for the children in their wedding party.
